PAST ALREADY 2019-2020
2018
Continuity, development, depth and details have embrked the second season of the Läänesaarte Kammerorkester.
8 concerts with carefully selected programs, 7 different soloists on 2 different islands (Saaremaa and Hiiumaa) in 7 different concert halls. The year included our first summer tour as well as the first chamber opera production in Kuressaare.
The orchestra has reached the corners of the island, bringing music all over as well to the neighbour islands, growing in number and activity, being always much appreciated and admired by the audience.
2017
Enthusiasm, playfulness, attentive listening and development joined Saaremaa in one with music from January to September. Full concert halls embarked the beginnig of the first season of the Läänesaarte Kammerorkester (Estonian Western Islands Chamber Orchestra).
6 concerts with carefully selected programs, 5 different soloists on 2 different islands in 5 different concert halls (including the opening of Kärla new concert hall in September 2017).
The new initiative has produced a positive emotion for the islands, bringing chamber music closer to a larger audience. The enthusiasm of the audience as well as musicians has given reason to continue with the great work.
